It was written in a fast past setting and most of the time it was easy to forget how little they knew each other or how little they got to spend time together. The MCs Gemma and Liam had a very star-crossed lovers sort of romance. Hardly any issues with grammar or sentence structure. The writing itself was ten times better than the first book. It carried a heavier undertone dealing with depression and thoughts of suicide as warned in the blurb. This one was much better than the first in the series, as they usually are. This was a really impressive story and I am really looking forward to the third book in this series. The path to happiness for Liam and Gemma was a rocky one and I really enjoyed the angst and raw emotion that the author gave her readers along the way. The mafia and romance elements were both very well written and the family dynamics were as well.
